Primary Function
A global in-house marketing team is poised to expand upon its already strong footprint.
We are seeking an experienced in-house agency operations professional to hire, mentor and coach a group of specialists, supporting all facets of marketing and content production. Manage full time contractors and freelancers; build compelling business cases, and position marketers to provide best in class service. Serve as on-site representative ensuring that client contractual responsibilities are met.
Salary Range:
$80,0000-$120,000
Duties & Responsibilities
Identify, retain and inspire creative and technology-minded professionals in an agency environment
Energize the team with a goal of strong collaboration, productivity and brilliant work
Responsible for overseeing services and service levels of a team of specialized contingent workers, including resource management, business operations, labor budgets, content production, quality of service and client satisfaction
Work closely with Human Resources and client management to ensure all talent resources are introduced in a methodical approach with a personal, supportive connection
Review labor hours, level of effort, and strategic goals to identify and create positions to support the business. Track efficacy, course correct and adjust as needs evolve.
Gather, analyze and present on departmental metrics to senior management and clients
In association with HQ, develop recruiting and retention strategies for key teams
Work with recruiters and make staffing recommendations to ensure the team is scaled to respond to incoming demands
Ensure team is compliant with all client branding, operational, legal and regulatory mandates, policies and guidelines
Serve as On-Site Manager for all Contingent Workers assigned to the client site. Be the primary point of contact for introductions, onboarding and off boarding.
Interview, train, and evaluate talent skill levels. Coach existing team members, proactively address performance issues.
Maintain high level relationships with freelancers and vendors
Work proactively with client staff and teams to develop relationships with key clients, emerging businesses within the organization and executive leadership
Organize special projects as needed, participate in research, planning and Interface with various departments for project execution
Bring industry resources to bear for the teams. Attend industry events, networking events, exhibitions and association conferences to build relationships; leverage company best practices and benchmarking for innovation. Introduce new ideas and efficiencies.
Contribute to a productive work culture, fostering an environment of inclusivity and growth

Skills & Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in analyzing and solving business problems related to creative and marketing operations - and an interest in developing new strategies
Writes and speaks effectively and clearly articulates creative solutions in terms of clients’ business goals
Working knowledge of financial business models, ability to manage budgets, proficient with project management tools
Acumen and software skill to produce presentations of business data for required audiences
Has current knowledge of the creative talent market, familiarity with schedules, rates, and needs of project-based talent
High level of sense of urgency; Actively listens to others and acts upon information gained
Ability to switch from one project to another quickly and effectively; ability to quickly prioritize and reorganize events, projects and resources
Process-oriented, ability to create and follow procedure while accommodating for unique needs
Demonstrated experience using business data to create reports, presentations and sound business cases. Experience with tools such as Jira, Wrike, Workfront, Salesforce, Asana, Grow, or similar software required.
Demonstrated leadership capability and willingness to share knowledge with others
Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal and supervisory skills. capable of coaching senior level staff.
Maintain high level of professionalism and confidentiality
Think quickly and remain calm under pressure
Actively listen, discuss solutions and mediate conflict
Well-networked within the marketing and agency world, aware of changing business conditions
Education & Experience
8 years’ experience in in-house agency positions or similar marketing operations
5 years’ ad or digital agency experience, tech company exposure preferred
3 years’ creative team leadership required with direct full-time reports required
SHRM certification preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field required
