Classifieds Designer Jobs description

The classifieds section is perhaps the most revenue generating section of a newspaper or website. Therefore, it is the primary responsibility of a classifieds designer to ensure that all the classifieds look appealing, are easy to read, and are easy to use. It is because of the skills and efforts of the classifieds designer, that many online and offline publications make a lot of money through the classifieds.

Needless to say, a classifieds designer should have the inventiveness required to display a maximum amount of important information in a classified ad in the minimum possible space without making the ad look crammed or tacky. A good sense of color and design is therefore a must for a classifieds designer.

Moreover, an ability to work within tight deadlines and in a team is a prerequisite of a classifieds designer job. Although a college degree in design is not mandatory, most publications expect their classified designers to be graduates.
