What We're Looking For:
Sitting within 2U's Learning Design Studio
department, the Visual Designer (Part-Time)
helps develop a distinct and polished look-and-feel to our course materials. Visual designers should have experience applying visual design to the instructional design process or have experience developing compelling brand identities for corporations. They should have a high attention to detail, be highly motivated, and have a knack for artistic flair.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Designing a wide variety of visually impactful assets for our internal partners.
Creating a visual edge to courses materials in the form of slide templates, technical diagrams, and simple educational infographics, images, and animations.
Taking direction from content outlines, documented best practices and previous performance data to produce creative training solutions.
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3 years of experience in visual design either for an ad agency, publisher, or marketing group.
Comfortable creating reusable visual assets and style guides.
Ability to quickly create diagrams and figures for capturing complex technical ideas.
Deep skills in the Adobe Creative Suite—with a knack for freehand drawing and simple diagram building in Powerpoint and Google Slides.

In Colorado, the anticipated base salary for this role is $40/hr. Note: The final compensation for this position may consider factors including the geographic location where the work is performed (candidate’s assigned office) and prior work experience of the candidate.
