The Senior Design Management and Operations Professional will manage the Design team's scope of work in our agile development process, ensuring opportunities are well defined, well scoped, and appropriately aligned to our individual team members' expertise. This role is also responsible for shepherding design thinking across the organization, identifying and sharing best practices with the team, managing the many tools and supports required to conduct our work. Job Profile Summary

The Senior Design Management and Operations Professional will manage the Design team's scope of work in our agile development process, ensuring opportunities are well defined, well scoped, and appropriately aligned to our individual team members' expertise. Responsibilities

Decision making accountability


Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace.
Manages the PI process, staffing team members to well scoped initiatives to address well defined problems.
Owns XD team processes and tools, working to ensure they best suit the needs of our designers.
Provides feedback to design team in terms of the best way to tackle design problems, guidance on methods, and direction based on best practices.
Provide oversight and guidance on the vision and delivery of the user experience work


Collaboration Influence


Collaborates with product leaders to co-define the scope of work, cadence of work, and quality
Works to monitor and foster relationships and modes of collaboration with key business partners.
Onboarding team members inside and outside of the design discipline
Facilitating HCD workshops (for either internal or visiting teams)


Craft Content Management


Set the method for team design workflow, set of tools, file sharing, and best methods for file organization.
Pilot new tools and design methods within project work and practice.
Point of contact for software vetting and contracting.
Mentor team members on new design tools, workflows, and design best practices.
Set the tone and vision for the visual aesthetic and pattern vocabulary utilizing colors, typography, layout
Facilitate a culture of team critique to provide feedback on how to level up design work, supports designers to navigate complex UX, IA, Visual System decisions.
Troubleshooting any studio issues with the office admins (i.e., supplies, workplace solutions, issues, etc.)


Required Qualifications


Insightful risk-taker with creative confidence, an ability to sort signal from noise, and strength in understanding people and building influence
5-8 years of relevant industry experience.
Bachelor's design degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Demonstrated experience leading multiple cross-discipline teams (both technology and design)
Phenomenal communication, negotiation, and diplomacy skills
Passionate about driving change in the healthcare space
