POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Junior Web Designer will play a key role in supporting our heritage digital marketing initiatives. They will work to create compelling web experiences that address the company’s strategic needs concerning ecommerce, wholesale and media assets.  This role will design for IZOD, Van Heusen, and other company brands in the Heritage Brands portfolio.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

• Web design and production for both e-commerce and wholesale channels including banners, emails and other marketing assets for multiple brands.
• Translate business goals into clear digital communications, while maintaining a high design standard and respecting the brand integrity.
• Collaborate with the creative, digital, ecommerce and sales teams to execute content strategy and create digital assets that adhere to the seasonal guidelines for the different brands.
• Communicate clearly with the art directors and project managers during various stages of design and project development.
• Research and keep abreast of latest interactive technology, developments and trends in the digital marketing as well as evaluate suitability for wholesale channels.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:  1-2 years professional and web design related experience in fashion and /or retail brands       

        

Education:    BA Degree/Certification in Web Design or proven work experience equivalent to education.

Skills: 

• Mastery in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
• Proficient in Sketch
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS
• Strong knowledge of website usability, web optimization, and responsive design systems
• Demonstrate strong skills in design layout, composition and typography
• Possess an interest in fashion, photography and editorial design
• Remain current in the digital design industry to be able to identify new techniques and trends.
• Able to identify and clearly communicate technical challenges and design limitations.
• Able to manage high work volumes and process across multiple projects.
