NBBJ’s Los Angeles office – a dynamic design studio with an award winning Interior Design practice working regionally, nationally and globally – is seeking talented, highly motivated intermediate-level Interior Designer who can work independently and collaboratively with a team to lead the design of high-performance environments. Working closely with clients, multi-disciplinary teams, and studio design leaders, our project designers are responsible for conceptualizing and integrating ideas into space, expression and experience. The successful candidate will embody strong conceptual design abilities, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and the motivation to engage with the array of NBBJ’s resources in achieving high-performance, idea driven, sustainable outcomes.What you will need to Succeed:8 to 15 years of professional experience in Interior Design Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior ArchitectureLicensed or progressing toward licensure;LEED Accreditation or within 18 months of hireKnowledge of all aspects of interior design including tenant improvement design, space planning, programming, color and material selection, FF&E and vendor and contractor managementStrong conceptual design and schematic design skillsPrevious experience working on complex Healthcare, Hospitality and/or Corporate/Commercial projects in all phases of designStrong verbal and graphic communication skills; effective client relationship skills and talent for working with diverse teams of designers and consultantsProficiency in Revit with 3D modeling skillsDemonstrated knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketchup, Rhino or 3DS MaxExperience with interior documentation and detailing, casework detailing and modelingCreation of presentation books and materialsExperience with researching, selecting and specifying materials and finishesExperience with furniture selection and specificationExperience in coordinating interior design elements including lighting, artwork, environmental graphics, and way findingAbility to coordinate where appropriate with consultants to refine, assess, and locate necessary devices and equipment to achieve high quality design solutionsAbility to manage multiple projects and multiple deadlinesAbility to work in a collaborative, open environmentInterest in, and ability to travel to client sites, both domestically and internationally**Please include a link to your portfolio that contains at least 7-10 examples of your most relevant work or upload a PDF of your work samples (no larger than 4MB).
