This role is aligned to the Stars Analytics organization. The Stars program is the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) five‐star quality rating system for measuring Medicare beneficiaries' experience with their health plans and the health care system. The program is a key component in financing health care benefits for MA and MA‐PD plan enrollees. In addition, the ratings are posted on the CMS consumer website to help beneficiaries choose among the plans offered in their area. Quality metrics include screenings and vaccines, managing chronic conditions, member experience with the health plan, member complaints, and customer service. For the past two years, Humana has achieved 92% of members in 4 Star plans. This measure of quality of Humana's Medicare plans directly impacts our members' health.

Responsibilities

The Stars Analytics team is seeking a Senior Product UX Design Professional that will help develop product ideas, make enhancement to existing products or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable product design features. In this role, you will help develop design briefs for new product ideas to present a clear, focused concept for strategic consideration. In addition, you will advise business areas to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Works closely with product managers, software developers, and other team members to deliver a best-in-class user experience.

The Senior Product UX Design Professional consults and collaborates with product teams to design products that satisfy and exceed customer needs. The ideal person for this role will use UX principles and be an advocate for User-Centered design.

Responsibilities:

Speak for our member audience - their needs, goals, motivations, pain-points and mindsets - throughout the product lifecycle

Conduct user interviews to select the best user experience and translate into design artifacts

Produce UX deliverables and present them back to the internal team

Form digital strategies, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and research methodologies

Create detailed visual design compositions

Bring forth new design thinking and industry best practices in the web space

Question the norm and be able to debate for a design choice with stakeholders and developer teams

Maintain the integrity of team brand and design standards

Work with our team of front end and back end developers to ensure that your vision becomes a reality and adjust work to fit technical requirements and limitations

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in graphic design, web design, and/or UX design

5 or more years of UX design experience

Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and driven to be part of a team

Strong conceptual thinking

Demonstrated ability to develop big ideas and execute accurately against them in a highly collaborative environment

Demonstrated ability using any one of the following: Sketch, Axure, Invision, Simpli, and/or Adobe Products

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Degree in graphic design, web design, and/or UX design

Solid understanding of interface design and IA/UX/interaction design; strong interaction design and visual design skills

Be ready to work co-located with the product team and/or pair remotely, as the situation requires

Previous work experience in an agile environment process a plus

Thrives in a collaborative environment

Passionate about how brands are expressed through digital platforms

Strong, demonstrated time management skillset
