Curriculum & Learning

department the

Visual Designer

helps develop a distinct and polished look-and-feel to our course materials. Visual designers should have experience applying visual design to the instructional design process or have experience developing compelling brand identities for corporations. They should have a high attention to detail, be highly motivated, and have a knack for artistic flair.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

Build and design curriculum materials alongside content experts for courses in a wide variety of topics (80%

Create a visual edge to courses materials in the form of slide templates, technical diagrams, and simple educational images and animations.

Incorporate information from creative briefs, documented channel-specific best practices, and previous performance data to produce high-performing creative materials.

Process Management and Improvement (10%):

Assist with creating and maintaining curriculum schedules.

Manage multiple projects and remain flexible through revisions while keeping a keen attention to detail.

Communicate directly with internal stakeholders to successfully and efficiently meet the deliverable requirements of a project.

Training & Documentation (10%)

Maintain style guides, templates, and in-house design training materials.

Continuously discover and share found inspiration and new industry best practices to maximize efficiency.

Things That Should Be In Your Background:

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

3 years of experience in visual design either for an ad agency, publisher, or marketing group.

Comfortable creating reusable visual assets and style guides.

Ability to quickly create diagrams and figures for capturing complex technical ideas.

Deep skills in the Adobe Creative Suite—with a knack for freehand drawing and simple diagram building in Powerpoint and Google Slides.

In Colorado, the anticipated base salary for this role is $60,000, with potential bonus eligibility. Note: The final compensation for this position may consider factors including the geographic location where the work is performed (candidate’s assigned office) and prior work experience of the candidate.
