The Assistant Design will assist the Girls Design team in all aspects of design process. Includes but not limited to, research, designing, sketching, organizing, building design boards, recapping cross functional meetings & fittings, etc.Responsibilities:Provide ongoing Trend Research to Designer- specific to categoriesPartnering with the Designer to design and sketch seasonal needs which may include some design ownershipCreate tech packs and communicate artwork needs to CAD teamBuild and prepare sketch boards for presentationCreate line sheets, prep for meetings and recap all cross-functional meetings that include design changes/ updatesActively participate in fittings, take notes and input to database systemReview and comment on Lab Dips, Fabric, artwork strike offs & trimsOrganize seasonal documents/ fabrics/ samples (includes unpacking and organizing racks each season)Qualifications:College degree in Fashion Design1-2+ years of experience; related experience in Kids (Girls) Design, a plusAdept at the working place, handling multiple projects and juggling priorities in an organized but flexible mannerStrong organizational skills and problem solving skills        Ability to sketch and draw flats by hand and in IllustratorStrong knowledge of garment constructionStrong computer knowledge including PDM/ PLM, Adobe Bridge, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Excel3D design experience, a plusAbility to work in fluid environment with changing priorities requiredPosition is based in NYC; ability to work remotely, as needed PVH Corp. or its subsidiary (\PVH\) is an equal opportunity employer and considers all applicants for employment on the basis of their individual capabilities and qualifications, consistent with applicable law and without regard to race, color, sex, gender identity or expression, age, religion, creed, national origin, citizenship status, sexual orientation, genetic information, physical or mental disability, military status or any other characteristic protected under federal, state or local law.
