Making sure our members continue to love reading our content is our team of designers! In your internship, you will be very hands-on, leveraging design patterns and your own design skills to develop prototypes and take prototypes to scale. If you have a design eye, an ability to visually communicate ideas, and the know-how to write front-end code, keep reading! You’ll be challenged and mentored by some of our best designers and developers all summer, and in turn, you’ll develop a business-focused, forward-thinking mindset that sets you apart from your peers. We’re excited to open our doors for Summer 2019 UI & Web Design Intern applicants, so send us your most Foolishly written cover letter and your ultra-impressive resume. We’re prepared to be wowed! What You’ll Need To Succeed:For UI & Web Designers: HTML, CSS/SCSS, JQuery/Javascript, Bootstrap, and PhotoshopComfort in working in a Python/Django framework (BONUS if you are comfortable with Git!)Sustained passion for technical innovationFlexibility, ability to learn quickly, and extraordinary critical thinking skillsHigh-performing problem-solving skillsStrong collaborative chopsAbility to communicate clearly and demonstrate emotional intelligenceThe Motley Fool Holdings, Inc., provides equal opportunity to all employees on the basis of individual performance and qualification without regard to race, sex, marital status, religion, color, age, national origin, non-job-related handicap or disability, sexual orientation, or other protected factor. We should, however, make you aware that there is one notable exception to this policy. It is our strict and earnest intention — and the company’s historical record will bear this out — we will never hire any of the following: robots, replicants, or morlocks. Please keep in mind we are well aware that all of the aforementioned have intentions of world domination in the future, but as of now, we have no place for them at The Motley Fool … unless the year is 2122 and the revolution has already occurred. If that is the case, we welcome our new robot, replicant, or morlock rulers!!! Perhaps we have said too much?
