We are passionate about providing the reach and resolve required to deliver programs that move hearts and minds.nThe Engagement Groupu2019s creative team is a collaborative team of experts, charged with ideating and executing compelling visual stories and experiences that give a voice to science and bring data to life.n nArt Directorn nRequirementsn2-4 years of experience in graphic design in an agency or equivalent businessnPharma and healthcare experience desiredn nOverviewnThe Art Director is a position intended for those candidates who have worked in an agency setting for 2-4 years and are ready to lead design execution and delivery of a wide range of communications materials for our pharmaceutical clients across all media platforms.n nThe job requires confidence to creative visual design, sometimes based on nothing more than ideas and words provided by clients or colleagues, and the ability to sell their work to peers and clients. An art director will also have the ability to participate in and help develop our design offerings. The role is very hands-on and is often busy; time and self-management skills are essential.n nArt directors are expected to work independently and show initiative in their creative work. They must show a willingness and active drive to be promoted to a Senior Art Director through not just creative output, but an active understanding of the medical communications business. And they must be able to partner with account and scientific teams to elevate projects to a higher creative level. A portfolio showcasing previous work is essential.n n n nExperience and expertisenThe breadth of experience should include:n nn A strong portfolio showing skills in design across various media including print and digital. But keep in mind that quality beats quantity; only show us your best piecesn Work must demonstrate good understanding of composition and typography skillsn Work showing conceptual thinking is plusn Familiarity and comfort with Mac platformn Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) as well as ability to work in PowerPointn Assist senior creative staff in executing conceptual ideas into production-ready print or digital piecesn BA or BFA in Graphic Design, Art, or equivalent experiencen Have a professional attitude and look, and be a strong representative of the Engagement Group and HCG in front of clientsn Ability to take direction, and a willingness to learn new thingsn Positive thinker and collaborative team member with an ability to work independentlyn Excellent verbal and written communication skillsnn nPersonal SkillsnWe have high standards. We expect you to keep abreast of the latest creative and digital trends.n nThe candidate will report to an Associate Creative Director, and is expected to be well organized, with an ability to work efficiently with other people.n nWith current social distancing restrictions, the candidate must be able to work independently from their home, and maintain consistent contact with their manager, fellow EG members, and their account and scientific team using virtual communication platforms such as Zoom and Teams.
