We currently have an opening for a Operations Planning & Design Engineer.As an Engineer, Operations Planning & Design you are responsible for applying technology and Industrial Engineering principles and techniques to support the operations engineering efforts for the clients being served. You are responsible for conducting detailed analysis and interpreting the results, and making recommendations for improvements in productivity and capacity to deliver reductions in capital investment and operating costs for our clients.You are also responsible for ensuring technical accuracy of work in the production of documents for our clients. Your responsibilities will include designing and planning services, equipment specification and permitting services for both the building department and health department. You will create advanced engineering designs when needed and assist team members with solution development. Your focus in this role will be championing the use of best practices, adherence to company standards, accuracy of documents, and technical discipline coordination. Minimum ExperienceBachelors degree in Industrial EngineeringAbility to accurately perform time studiesGeneral understanding of food service operations: processes, flows, efficiencies and capacities Understanding of how to read and interpret general shop drawings for development and reviewAbility to identify and communicate cause and effect as it relates to analysis and resultsProficient using Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, Access (or other database), and PowerPoint; CAD softwareAdvanced problem-solving skills with the ability to understand data and analysis and be able to interpret and explain results as requiredExcellent oral and written communication skills and inter-personal skillsAbility to communicate and partner professionally with vendors and client representatives; comfortable in participating in cooperative problem solving/meaningful dialogueAbility to follow instruction from team members and managers and also provide instruction to others in a confident mannerAbility to multi-task while meeting specified timelinesExperience with Revit and/or the CS6 design suite (InDesign, etc) is preferredPrior knowledge and experience of food service, grocery, and other industries is preferredBasic understanding of construction, and/or mechanical and electrical design is preferredWhat matters to our associates matters to us and benefits and professional growth are at the top of the list.
