Digital and Interactive Media Adjunct
School of Photography
A Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Commercial Art or a Master's degree in a related discipline with 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline. College-level lecture and studio course teaching experience, preferred.
Teach courses in accordance with college and departmental policies and procedures, as well as Basic Course
Prepare and submit timely grade reports and other reports on student performance as may be scheduled or required.
Organize class activities and assignments, relating them to the overall student learning outcomes of the course.
Provide input and work with other faculty and staff to review, produce and/ or select course-related materials.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The successful candidate should be skilled in creating media from concept to final delivery and with advanced knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud,including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, specifically with mock-ups, web design and multimedia presentation.
Proficiency working in a Macintosh and Windows environment.
Adaptive design eye and skill.
Knowledge and understanding of principles of curriculum development.
The successful candidate should have an innovative and entrepreneurial attitude towards work and projects.

Note: All Adjunct positions are part-time, temporary assignments (for no more than one semester at a time) dependent upon student enrollment and the instructional needs of the College.

This diverse area of Daytona State College provides access to education for individuals where they are in their educational journeys. Students who do not have a high school diploma or who are non-native English speakers attend classes in the School of Adult Education. Students who have completed their AA degrees enroll in the BS program to obtain a Bachelors in one of the education programs found in the School of Education. Also in the School of Education is the Educator Preparatory Institute where individuals who already have a Bachelors or advanced degree prepare to become teachers.
