Description

The Hive is Humana's in-house agency, a creative collective built exclusively to support the business and the brand. We are responsible for creative content development across all media and enterprise brand identity management for a diverse portfolio of Humana brands. Our core purpose is to create compelling brand expression and cohesive consumer experiences that enhance brand perception, build trust and influence choice.

The Lead, Brand Management role is an agency leader who is responsible for developing creative talent, driving creative excellence, and establishing best practices which increase agency capability and enhance business value to Humana. The Brand Identity Creative Director is a brand storyteller who skillfully translates complex business objectives into strategic insights that result in exceptional creative outcomes. This person will lead and mentor a growing team of art directors, writers, designers and production specialists to plan, produce and manage the visual and verbal brand identity system for the enterprise.

To be successful in this role, you are an inspirational creative leader, who fosters a collaborative culture with the agency team, internal business and marketing partners, and external agencies. You have a deep understanding of brand, experience building strategic creative solutions and will use these insights, and analysis of complex situations and data, to inform the work and advise senior leaders on the most effective approaches.

Responsibilities


Plans, communicates and implements plans to grow agency creative capabilities and develop talent into a world-class agency team.
Proposes, implements and manages brand identity systems and creative content to enhance market opportunities for a portfolio of Humana brands.
Routinely performs creative competitive analysis, to inform creative strategy and proposes solutions that achieve business objectives, build brand value and provide competitive differentiation.
Develops creative strategy and compelling concepts for highly complex marketing and communications campaigns, sales enablement materials, and environmental branding.
Negotiates and implements creative resource plans, ensures resources are aligned with business, budget and schedule priorities, and monitors performance.
Liaises with internal departments and external agencies to ensure full communication and success of brand strategy, marketing plans and appropriate use of brand assets.
Drives continuous improvement of brand expression to ensure it meets organization objectives and monitors content performance.
Ensures effective administration of brands through strategic briefs, Agile workflows and dynamic content management technology.
Exercises independent judgement requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.


Required Qualifications


Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a marketing or creative field.
An industry competitive portfolio that demonstrates a strong mastery of developing marketing campaign concepts and brand identity systems.
Minimum 8 years of experience developing strategic creative concepts in an agency environment.
Minimum 2 years of experience managing an agency team.
Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Mastery of brand identity development process and managing brand identity systems.
Mastery of the creative content development process, from concept through production, across a broad range of media.
Proven ability to develop strategic plans, negotiate agency resources, elevate creative performance, and develop organizational talent.
Proficiency in industry standard design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
Proficiency with Agile methodologies.
Must have accessibility to high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (satellite internet service is NOT allowed for this role); and a minimum internet connection speed of 10M x 1M

Healthcare industry and Humana business acumen.
Environmental branding expertise.
Active participant in marketing/creative industry professional communities and advises on industry trends.
Focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

Occasional travel may be required (more if located outside of Louisville).
